The C.S.D. distinguish the Real Federación de Castilla y León de Fútbol in the celebration of its centenary
Virginia Barcones has highlighted that the exhibition ‘The football of your life’ has reached 35,000 visitors in the journey made by the Community
June 21, 2023.- The Superior Sports Council will distinguish the Real Federación de Castilla y León de Fútbol on the occasion of the centenary that it is celebrating during 2023 throughout the Community. This has been announced today by the delegate of the Government, Virginia Barcones, on the occasion of the opening act of the exhibition ‘The Football of your life’ organized by the Territorial.
Virginia Barcones has attended in Valladolid the inauguration of the itinerant exhibition organized by the body that Marcelino Maté has presided over for 27 years. There he announced that the C.S.D. It already processes the recognition of the Territorial for its 100 years of history. “In short, the Secretary of State for Sport is going to visit Castilla y León, he is going to come and visit you. You know that we are processing so that the Real Federación de Castilla y León de Futbol has the distinction that it deserves. It is a job that you have done and the only thing we have done is to serve as a channel,” said Virginia Barcones.
The government delegate has stressed that the RFCYLF is more fit than ever despite being a hundred years old. A good example of this is the 50,000 licenses it has had this year, a record in federal history.
She also highlighted the push that the Territorial has given to women’s football, a football that has grown especially in the last five years. “We have spoken on more than one occasion to give that impulse to make women’s football take centre stage. That impulse is an example of the important social advances we have made in equality and women’s sport in Castilla y León”, he stressed.
Virginia Barcones has indicated that the exhibition ‘The football of your life’, which after yesterday’s inauguration only needs to reach the province of Zamora, has had about 35,000 visitors throughout Castilla y León. “The history of football is the history of our land, it is the history of our towns and cities, the history of generations that are reflected through this exhibition,” he said.
In this regard, he stressed that sport is important as a healthy lifestyle and also as a “meeting place, a social space, a place to make friends”. He has also highlighted the discipline that inculcates sports practice and the friendships it provokes in citizenship.
The Cavalry Academy of Valladolid hosts, with free admission from yesterday and until July 7, the exhibition ‘The football of your life’, on the occasion of the celebration of 100 years of federated football in Castilla y León and Valladolid. Through souvenir, photographs, posters, posters, trophies, balls, boots, documentation a tour of the century of regional and provincial life is made. The exhibition, organized by the Real Federación de Castilla y León de Fútbol, began in January and has already toured all the provinces of the Community except Zamora, the next stop. All of them show an important part of regional football and of that province in particular.
