June 2, 2023.- The access capacity to Pedraza for the XXX edition of the ‘Concerts of the Candles’ will continue to be limited to 5,000 people, not counting residents or people who access hotels and restaurants. It has been considered that, it is an adequate figure to guarantee the safety of all attendees and of a possible evacuation if necessary.
The deputy delegate of the Government, Lirio Martín, has presided this morning in the City of Pedraza, together with the acting mayor, Pedro Martín, the security meeting of the concerts, which will be held on July 1 and 8.
Lirio Martín points out that “the objective of the meeting is to coordinate all the necessary actions to guarantee the safety of all attendees, as well as mobility and evacuation if necessary”.
The meeting was also attended by the lieutenant colonel of the Civil Guard, Benito Donate, along with other officials of this security force; the president of the ‘Fundación Villa de Pedraza’, organizer of the event, José Antonio Herce; and the provincial head of Traffic.
The vehicles will be able to park in each of the two enabled car parks, with more than 10,000 square meters of extension, enough to accommodate all the people who approach Pedraza, since inside the walled villa, it will not be allowed to access with vehicle from 18:00 hours. In addition, mobile panels will be placed on national roads and at the accesses to Pedraza.
To access the villa you can obtain free and nominative passes, facilitated by the Villa de Pedraza Foundation. In total, 5,000 people will be able to access the villa every concert day and must have the corresponding free pass. No more than four passes per person may be purchased. In addition, residents of the municipality, merchants or those who have reservations in hotels and restaurants will be able to access. Those who do not have the pass, are not residents or do not have a reservation for a hotel establishment, will not be able to access Pedraza until the organization considers that there is enough space and thus avoid a security problem.
It is recommended that people with reduced mobility who come to Pedraza, communicate it in advance as much as possible, so that the organization can facilitate access, since this locality does not have adequate accessibility due to its physiognomy.
During the concerts there will be health personnel at two points, as well as ambulances, in the interior and exterior of the villa, to act as quickly as possible, if necessary, guaranteeing the safety of the attendees.
