June 1, 2023.- The Minimum Vital Income (IMV) reaches 28,267 households and 81,068 beneficiaries in the community of Castilla y León, according to the latest statistics published by the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) until the end of May.
This social security benefit is having a special impact on the reduction of child poverty since, of the total number of beneficiaries, 43% are minors (35,053). In addition, if we consider the type of home, in most cases there is at least one minor (more than 18,000).
According to these data, of the 28,267 files approved, 62.9% of them are held by a woman (17,793 women compared to 10,474 men).
Regarding the number of benefits with the Child Support Supplement (CAPI), there are already 16,197 in Castilla y León. The ICSC, which entered into force in January 2022, is the assistance of 115 euros per household per month for children from 0 to 3 years; 80.5 euros per month for each child between 3 and 6 years and 57.5 euros per month for each child between 6 and 18 years.
