The Civil Guard dismantles four points of sale and three drug laboratories in Burgos and Lerma
Operation “LUBINABUR” directed against drug trafficking
May 31, 2023.- The Civil Guard, within the framework of Operation ‘LUBINABUR’, has arrested five people as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health for drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal organization. The operation was presented today by the delegate of the Government in Castilla y León, Virginia Barcones, accompanied by the subdelegate of the Government, Pedro de la Fuente, and the Chief of Operations of the Command of the Civil Guard in Burgos, Commander José Manuel González Garrido, along with other commanders of the Corps.
The suspicions of the existence of a prominent group dedicated to the sale of drugs surfaced last November. As a result of the monitoring carried out by the Command on the points of sale of prohibited substances in the market and the surveillance of their potential suppliers, a striking displacement of people from the province to the capital was verified.
The final destination coincided in all trips; the same domicile located in a neighborhood of northeastern Burgos, a property that was discreetly monitored in which an unusual and high traffic of people who entered and left it after a short space of time was verified.
As a result of the research, the relationship between this house and three others, in Burgos and Lerma, was verified. Its five residents, who are joined by family ties, were part of a well-organized, hierarchical criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking that perfectly complied with the steps of provision, management and introduction into the black market.
Four house searches and five more have been carried out simultaneously in storage rooms, all in Burgos and Lerma, under a court order, which culminated in the arrest of the five members of the group: AHA (37), PHA (43), SAG (40), SBL (38) and LEA (38), who have been imprisoned.
In the buildings, a total of 6.9 kilograms of cocaine, 12.4 kilograms of hashish, 535 grams of marijuana, 540 grams of MDMA for cutting and 16 VIAGRA tablets have been apprehended, as well as tools and effects for its dosage and cutting such as scales, bags and wire tapes. This drug would have exceeded 243,000 doses on the black market.
Four cars owned by the detainees, an undocumented compressed air rifle with a visor and 18,303 euros in cash distributed and hidden throughout the different rooms have also been intervened.
It should be noted that with the dismantling of this organization - whose radius of affection mainly agglutinated the counties of Juarros, Merindades, Demand and the Carpeting of Burgos - the introduction of these drugs in the province has been disabled, by dismantling four important points of sale and three laboratories for the production of prohibited substances located in these homes of Burgos and Lerma.
The operation, which has had a considerable deployment of resources and personnel, has been led by Examining Court No. 3 of Burgos and coordinated by the Judicial Police Organization Unit of this Command, with the participation of Citizen Security personnel and the USECIC of Burgos, the Reserve and Security Group of León and the Cinological Service of Valladolid, León and Madrid.
