May 17, 2023.- In medium and non-seasonal terms, that is, in the original series, the Social Security registered in April 71,745 foreign affiliates in Castilla y León, which means 1,150 affiliates more than the previous month. Of the total, 29,751 workers come from countries of the European Union (41.47%) and 41,994 from third countries (the remaining 58.53%). The largest groups of foreign workers are from Romania (12,040), Bulgaria (9,080), Morocco (8,502), Colombia (5,786) and Portugal (4,419). Of the total, 55.2% are men, while 44.8% are women.
In the last twelve months, the average membership of workers from other countries has grown by 11.56% in the community, that is, it has added 7,434 employees.
1,039 Ukrainian affiliates
In addition, among other nationalities, there are more than 1,000 affiliates from Ukraine.
The majority of workers from Ukraine who work in our country, just over 90%, are covered by the General System (they are salaried) and 9.3% are self-employed.
Regimes and sectors
Overall, 87% of foreign affiliates are covered by the General Regime in Castilla y León and they account for 62,457. In April, they increased in all sectors covered by this regime. The most occupied was Hospitality, (16.12%) followed by Manufacturing Industry (12.48%) and Construction (9.03%). As for the special systems of the General System, both the Home System (8.78%) and the Agrarian System (7.47%) increase.
For its part, the Autonomous System registered 9,288 foreign affiliates. Of the total number of self-employed workers from other countries, 16.5% came from Romania, 13.4% from China and 9.3% from Bulgaria.
