May 8, 2023.- The colonel of the Civil Guard of Segovia José Luis Ramírez has officially said goodbye today to the subdelegate of the Government, Lirio Martín.
The hitherto head of the Segovia Command will shortly be joining his new post in the General Directorate of the Civil Guard in Madrid, once he became a colonel at the end of last year.
The subdelegate of the Government, Lirio Martín, values the professionalism and dedication of the colonel both throughout his professional career and at the head of the Command.
José Luis Ramírez joined as head of the Segovia Civil Guard Command in September 2016.
His previous destination was as an Interior Attaché at the Spanish Embassy in Washington, where he remained from 2013 until his arrival in Segovia.
In his different jobs he occupied destinations in the Fiscal Service of Vizcaya, in the Port of Santurce. He also spent four years in the Information Service of the Bilbao Command, as a lieutenant.
In his promotion to captain, he joined the Information Service Development Group, until his promotion to commander, when he became a professor at the Academy of Officers.
He later became an advisor in the fight against terrorism to the then Minister of the Interior, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, and was also an advisor to the Minister of the Interior, Jorge Fernández.
Among its many decorations are the Silver Cross of Merit of the Civil Guard Corps, the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Civil Merit, the Cross of Police Merit with White Badge, the Cross with Red Badge Order of Merit of the Civil Guard Corps and the Cross with White Badge Order of Merit of the Civil Guard Corps, as well as the Cross of the Royal and Military Order of St. Hermenegild, and various individual congratulations are also recorded.
Married and with four children, Colonel Ramirez was born in the Seo d’Urgel (Lleida), on March 13, 1968. He entered the General Military Academy of Zaragoza in 1991 and completed his military studies in 1994. He became a captain in 2000, a commander in 2005 and a lieutenant colonel in 2014.
