Sabrido: “Castilla-La Mancha is a community that advances with the Government of Pedro Sánchez”

Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido, today presented the biannual balance sheet ‘Complying’, in which he defended the management of the executive in the region and the advances that it has meant during these eight years of government.

José Pablo Sabrido has defended that “Castilla-La Mancha is a community that advances with the Government of Pedro Sánchez” and policies that benefit all citizens with the increase of the Interprofessional Minimum Wage, pensions or the Minimum Vital Income, or that have allowed unemployment figures to be reduced to minimums, with 11.8%, a figure that was not reached since 2008.

First axis: dynamic economy

Castilla-La Mancha currently has an unemployment figure of 11.8%, reaching over 932,000 people active in employment. And not only in this aspect has the impact of the Government’s policies been noted, but it has also allowed 410,028 pensioners in the region to see their remuneration increase by 458.80 euros since 2018, or the increase in the Minimum Vital Income that affects 111,732 Castilian Manchegos.

“Other measures of support in basic services I would like to remind you of the electric social bond, through a discount that regulates the electricity bill and protects households with fewer resources and with them the government of Spain has benefited 86,252 Castile-Manchego households,” said the government delegate.

Sabrido also recalled that the scholarship system has allowed 39,683 young people in the region to benefit from the aid of the Government of Pedro Sánchez.

Second axis: regional financing

The Government of Pedro Sánchez gives Castilla-La Mancha 40.9% more funding than the previous executive: “autonomous financing that seeks more resources for public services, for health, education and social services,” said Sabrido.

It translates into a total of 12,470 million euros corresponding to 7,477 million in account deliveries, 288 million in deficit paths and 1,248 million more in terms of the new financing model. To this must be added the 4,297 million euros of debt cancellation that would allow the region’s debt to be reduced by 30%.

And on the rejection of the new funding model by several autonomous communities, “fundamentally of the Popular Party”, Sabrido considers that “many of the rejections have an evil that has been overcome, the evil of the Amnesty Law, which they said was unconstitutional and that it is clarified that it is constitutional” after the latest legal judgments.

Third axis: recovery, transformation and resilience

The Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain has allocated 2,598 million euros to Castilla-La Mancha in different PERTES, strategic plans, renewable energies, hydrogen, storage or reindustrialization.

Focusing on the current climate emergency, Sabrido highlighted that the Government of Pedro Sánchez has implemented “different grants such as the PERTE of decarbonization with 86.5 million euros and the PERTE of water with 48.9 million euros”.

Strengthening the Welfare State

The Welfare State has been strengthened in Castilla-La Mancha with 111 million euros for the social economy or 7.3 million for Equality. In addition, the economic allocation in Social Rights to finance the dependency has doubled, reaching 314.7 million euros in 2027, and 2,947.3 million euros have been invested in Transport, 1,196.2 in Education, 402.2 million in Housing, 162.1 million in Health, more than 20 million in Culture, 456.9 million in Science, Innovation and Universities, in addition to the creation of 21 seats for judges and 8 for prosecutors in the last year alone.

“These data, which are not abstract, are stable employment, more purchasing power, better public services, more investment and a more prepared region. That is why I said at the beginning, and I repeat, that Castilla-La Mancha is a community that feels good and that moves forward with the Government of Pedro Sánchez. And that is our commitment from the Government of Spain and we will continue working”, concluded Sabrido.
