Milagros Tolón presents the deployment of the Civil Guard to make the Viña Rock a real party of music

The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha has highlighted that the Viña Rock “is one of the musical events of the year in Spain, in which some 100,000 attendees are waiting” The Civil Guard will deploy about 500 agents from Traffic Units, Seprona, EMUME, dogs, cavalry, helicopter, Judicial Police, Public Prosecutor and Borders Service, Citizen Security or the Explosives Deactivation Service

Villarrobledo (Albacete).- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, has today presented the special security device that the Civil Guard has deployed in the town of Villarrobledo in Alicante on the occasion of the celebration of the XXVIII edition of the Viña Rock Native Art Music Festival, which begins today and will end on May 4.

Milagros Tolón has been accompanied by Brigadier General Francisco Javier Vélez, head of the Second Zone of the Civil Guard; by Colonel Jesús Manuel Rodrigo, head of the Albacete Command; by the deputy delegate of the Government in Albacete, Miguel Juan Espinosa; the mayor of Villarrobledo, Valentín Bueno, and members of the municipal Corporation, among others.

Milagros Tolón recalled that the Viña Rock “is one of the musical events of the year in Spain, because with 28 editions it is a consolidated event that has an impact on the prestige and economy of Villarrobledo and Castilla-La Mancha, in which approximately 100,000 attendees are expected”.

Over 500 Civil Guard officers

And for everything to develop “normally and to guarantee the continuity of the festival in future editions, it is necessary to implement the great security device that we present today”, said the delegate of the Government. “There will be more than 500 Civil Guard agents distributed in several units, in addition to Local Police agents, Civil Protection volunteers, Firefighters, Private Security, health services, municipal services…”

Milagros Tolón has thanked all those who participate in the device for their work, “in addition to the effort of the City Council and the organization in coordination with the Civil Guard and the other services. In fact, it is one of the biggest security deployments of all those carried out in the calendar of music festivals in our country. And here I would like to highlight the coordination in the Municipal Operational Coordination Center (CECOPAL) and the existence of two mobile complaint offices.”

Ensure normal development

Because, as Milagros Tolón stressed, “the main objective is to ensure the normal development of Viña Rock 2025, maintaining citizen security and public order.”

That is why I have highlighted the following points:

  • Facilitating and controlling road access;
  • providing information and health support;
  • prevention and investigation of thefts and crimes against public health;
  • monitoring and compliance with health regulations at retail outlets for mobile food and beverages;
  • and ensure public order and reaction to any kind of incident.

The government delegate has appealed “to the people who are going to attend the Festival, mostly young people, to enjoy the concerts with respect for others and the work of the State Security Forces and Corps.”

The Civil Guard, in the Rock Vineyard

The Civil Guard Units that will be available during the celebration of the Rock Vineyard will be the following:

  • Traffic.
  • Judicial Police.
  • Information.
  • Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA).
  • Citizen Security.
  • Women-Minor Teams (EMUME).
  • Public Prosecutor and Border Service.
  • Citizen Security Unit (USECIC).
  • Reserve and Security Group (ARS) of Madrid and Barcelona.
  • Cinological Service (drugs and explosives), Explosives Deactivation Service.
  • Cavalry Group.
  • Helicopter.
  • Drone equipment.
