Toledo.- The IV Conference “Equality against violence against women”, which is organized by the Delegation of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha in collaboration with the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), begins on Tuesday, October 29 in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Cuenca. In the morning and afternoon, this first day is entitled “#SeAcabó. Gender violence in artistic and cultural production”, and will include, among other interventions, Mabel Lozano, film director, screenwriter and actress; or Pamela Palenciano, actress, communicator and activist.
The video game industry
A Conference that will begin at 9 a.m., with the inauguration by Mari Luz Fernández, Deputy Delegate of the Government of Spain in the province of Cuenca; César Sánchez, Vice-Rector of Culture, Sport and Social Responsibility of the UCLM; Consuelo García, Head of the Coordination Unit against Violence on Women (Delegation of the Government in CLM); Carmen Díaz Mora, Delegate of the Rector for Equality Policies of the UCLM; and Ruth Sanjuán, Vice-Dean of Fine Arts.
Between 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m., the lecture “When the video game industry is also a place of harassment and discrimination” will be given by Beatriz Page, Doctor of Fine Arts, designer and media collaborator; and Ruth García, professor at the Faculty of Education of Cuenca.
Between 10.30 and 11.30 a.m., the lecture “Machismo and the music industry: a battle against the unstoppable feminist advance”, which will be given by Lara A. Miranda, member of the Board of the Association of Women in the Music Industry. Then there will be a break of 30 minutes.
Prostitution and Trafficking
The Conference will resume at 12 noon with the presentation “A painful sequence on prostitution and trafficking. Cinema as an instrument to denounce violence against women”, by Mabel Lozano, film director, screenwriter and actress.
And between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m., a new paper, “That is not said, that is not done, that is not touched. The problem of normalizing male violence in the field of Culture. #Tell it”, which will be taught by Isabel Valdés, editor of El País, a journalist specializing in feminism and male violence”.
After lunch, at 4:00 p.m. and until 6:00 p.m., a theatrical monologue, tragicomedy in an act, “Not only do beatings hurt”, by Pamela Palenciano, actress, communicator and activist.
The closing of the Day will be at 18 hours.

All events organized by the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women, attached to the Delegation of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, which will be held in Castilla-La Mancha on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, will be presented soon.
