Toledo.- Milagros Tolón, delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, presided today over the spectacular exhibition of units of the National Police, on the occasion of the celebration of its Bicentenary, which took place in the bullring of Toledo before more than 6,000 girls and boys from different schools in the regional capital. Act in which he has been accompanied by the Superior Chief of Police of Castilla-La Mancha, Javier Pérez; by the provincial commissioner of Toledo, Carlos San Román; and by the subdelegate of the Government of Spain in the province of Toledo, Carlos Ángel Devia.
For two hours, it has been possible to enjoy the brilliant performances of the GEO (Special Operations Group), the UIP (Police Intervention Unit), the canine guides, the Cavalry Unit or the TEDAX, which have demonstrated their qualities and have brought out the continuous applause of children and adults who have crowded the bullring.
“One of the best rated institutions”
Milagros Tolón has indicated, in statements to the media, that it was a special act in a key event for the National Police. “It has been very endearing, it’s bringing the National Police closer to boys and girls, so they can see what they do to help society. It is one of the best institutions best valued by citizens and we will continue to work during this period so that society feels complicit with our National Police.
The Superior Chief of Police of Castilla-La Mancha, Javier Pérez, has stressed that within the framework of the Master Plan of Security in the schools, “what better than an exhibition of all the police units so that the schoolchildren know what the police are dedicated to and what they do for society”.
