Madrid.- An agreement has been signed today in the presence of the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez and the Secretary General of Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture, Iñaqui Carnicero, which will allow the promotion of 24 energy-efficient homes for social and affordable rent. MIVAU will contribute 1.1 million of the 3.9 million euros budgeted for the implementation of this project, from the NextGenerationEU funds within the framework of the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Plan (PRTR).
The agreement includes aid for the rehabilitation of a building and the promotion of 24 homes in the municipality of Talavera de la Reina, which will be developed in a public-private partnership by the Community Board of Castilla-La Mancha, through the transfer of a surface right on a land of its ownership.
New agreements
Through this aid plan, MIVAU aims to finance the increase in the public housing stock for social rent or affordable housing, through new construction promotions on publicly owned land. These homes will be part of the public park for a minimum period of 50 years and their consumption of non-renewable primary energy must be at least 20% lower than the requirements required in the Technical Building Code. The works must be completed by June 30, 2026.
For this programme, endowed with 1 billion euros, 21.06 million euros were already transferred to the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha in the year 2022, and the financial commitment has been formalized from the annuality of the year 2023 for the same amount. The assistance provided is up to €700 per square metre of useful living space with a maximum of €50,000 per dwelling.
To date, five agreements and four addenda of this program have been signed in Castilla-La Mancha for the financing of 841 homes for social and affordable rent, with a contribution of NG funds of 41 million euros. In this way, with the new agreement, the construction of a total of 865 homes has been formalized in eight actions in four municipalities of the community, with a contribution of NG funds of 42.12 million euros, thus exhausting the funds corresponding to the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha in this program.
