Cuenca, January 23, 2024.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, visited Cuenca on Tuesday where she met with its mayor, Darío Dolz, with whom she held an institutional meeting in which they reviewed the challenges and opportunities of the city and the issues related to the General Administration of the State.
Milagros Tolón affirmed after the meeting that collaboration between the administrations “is fundamental because we all share the same objective that is to improve the life of our neighbors”, and has expressed his willingness “to work and strengthen that cooperation” and address the challenges and opportunities offered by the city of Cuenca.
The delegate indicated that Cuenca “has an excellent mayor who defends the interests of his city above anything else” and, regarding the content of the meeting, referred to projects that depend on the investment of the State such as the Police Station “that is practically finished” or the start of the works of the Prison Studies Center.
He has also pointed out the increase in the State’s contribution to the Cuenca Consortium, as in Toledo, “for the rehabilitation of our historic hulls” as an “important element for the economic development of our cities”.
For his part, Darío Dolz thanked Milagros Tolón for his visit to Cuenca and for his willingness to collaborate to transfer to the ministries the projects and the demands demanded by the Conquense citizens and which require the intervention of the Government of Spain.
The meeting was also attended by the councilor for Citizen Security, Internal Regime and Institutional Coordination, Saray Portillo, and the deputy delegate of the Government in Cuenca, Mari Luz Fernández.
