The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has litigated for 437,384 euros (VAT included) the writing of the informative study of the Southwest Variant of Ciudad Real. The corresponding announcement has been published today in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
This variant will connect the A-41 motorway, approximately at its link with the N-420 road around km 167 of the motorway, with the N-430 road, at km 299. Currently the connection between the aforementioned roads would have to be made through the inner rounds of Ciudad Real.
The construction of this variant will contribute to the improvement of the connections between the roads of the State Road Network without the need to travel through the crossings of the city, thus reducing the traffic load through the urban center.
The purpose of this study is to define and compare, in general terms, the different viable alternatives for this Variant. It will also serve as a basis for the public information file and the environmental assessment procedure in order to be able to select the most appropriate alternative, as established by Law 37/2015, of 29 September, on roads.
