The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has formalized in the amount of 455,512 euros (VAT included) the structural rehabilitation works of the firm on the N‐322 road, between the km 422,500 and 425,330 corresponding to the Variant of Villatoya, in the province of Albacete.
This is a 4.06 km long variant that runs through the west of the town of Villatoya, until connecting again with the N-322 in the province of Valencia, once the Cabriel River has been overcome by a viaduct. With this variant, it was possible to avoid the passage of traffic through this locality, a crossing characterized by the existence of a curve and counter-curve of radius of 21 and 34 m and roadway without arches.
The firm rehabilitation will consist mainly of the initial milling of localized areas, followed by the sealing of cracks and fissures. Next, we will proceed to the extension of asphaltic risks and the new bituminous mixtures.
There will also be the repainting of road markings and cebreings, and the disassembly and placement of cylindrical beacons, where appropriate. The height of the edges of the longitudinal drainage elements in those areas of sinking and the replacement of sound bumps will also be adjusted.
The action is included within the conservation and maintenance program of the State Road Network, in which Mitma has invested more than 180 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Albacete and which generates a significant impulse to improve the quality of service of the existing state road infrastructure.
