The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has formalized by 6.69 million euros (VAT included) the works of humanization and improvement of road safety of the N-400 crossing, between the kilometers 53,950 and 56,025 as it passes through the municipal area of Noblejas, in the province of Toledo.
The objective of the action is the adaptation of a section of this crossing, transforming it into a road belonging to an urban area, promoting pedestrian and cyclotourist traffic. Currently, the road has the characteristics of an interurban road, without clearly signposted parking areas, with decayed curbs and sidewalks and a lack of lighting in certain areas, as well as landscaped areas.
The complete crossing of the N-400 in the municipality of Toledo covers from kilometer 53,193 to kilometer 57,640. This project of humanization and urbanization will transform practically half of this route, which passes through the urban area of Noblejas, through the following actions:
- Execution of parking areas and pedestrian areas that have sidewalks, garden bands and bike lanes.
- Execution of hydrant network and irrigation network.
- Grounding of the air lines of the existing networks.
