Renfe has issued more than 30,000 free Media Distancia subscriptions in Castilla-La Mancha for travel between September 1 and December 31, 2023. These subscriptions can be purchased at any time during their period of validity.

The company has also issued 10,200 Avant titles with 50% bonuses to travel through the different lines that link Madrid with Toledo, Ciudad Real, Puertollano, Cuenca and Albacete.

Throughout the country, Renfe has issued more than 1.6 million free subscriptions issued for travel in Vicinity, Rodalies and Media Distancia from September 1 to December 31, 2023.

Of the total number of free tickets issued, about 1.2 million correspond to tickets for travel in the different centres of Cerca, Rodalies and Cerca Ancho Metrica, while more than 400,000 are tickets for Media Distancia.

In addition to free subscriptions for regular travelers, Renfe has sold nearly 40,000 titles with 50% discounts from Avant to use these services. This same discount applies to other high-speed routes that have been declared Public Service Obligation (PSO), which operate under the same conditions as an Avant voucher.

To purchase the subscription, although it is free, it is necessary to deposit a deposit of 10 euros in the case of Neighbourhoods and Rodalies, and 20 euros for each conventional Media Distancia service. The payment by card allows the automatic return of the deposit, once it is established that the condition of having made 16 trips during these four months has been fulfilled.

To facilitate communication with customers, Renfe has set up a specific telephone line, 91 919 15 67, to report these free subscriptions.
