Renfe extends the offer of AVE trains between Ciudad Real and Malaga from October 17 with two more trains daily, one departing from Ciudad Real at 19:19h and another from Malaga at 8.30h with arrival in Ciudad Real at 10:36h (Barcelona, 14:19h). With these new services, the daily AVE trains between both cities are raised to four, two in the morning and two in the afternoon.
All AVE services between Ciudad Real and Malaga will be carried out from mid-October with 103 series trains, with greater capacity than the current ones. With both changes (increase of services and increase of places/train) the offer in this transversal corridor Malaga-Ciudad Real-Barcelona will increase by one thousand places daily, raising the weekly offer to 12,000 places compared to the current 5,000.
From October 17 there will also be an adaptation of the schedules on the AVE trains between Malaga, Ciudad Real and Barcelona that is carried out after the works of waterproofing boards in nine viaducts in the province of Córdoba, within the framework of its plan of integral rehabilitation of the high-speed line carried out by ADIF.
The full timetables for these new services from 17 October can be consulted on the usual Renfe channels and tickets can be purchased in advance until next December. All the information is available in www.renfe.com
