Cuenca.- The Subdelegate of the Government of Spain in Cuenca, Mª Luz Fernández, has chaired the Provincial Commission of Migratory Flows that has been held in the Subdelegation of Government. The meeting aims to coordinate the different agencies and units of the province involved in labor migratory flows in seasonal agricultural campaigns.
The meeting discussed, among other topics, ensuring compliance with labor legislation, that the accommodation is suitable according to the applicable regulations, as well as the control of personality impersonations and the fixed-discontinuous contracting modality, after the approval of Royal Decree 32/2021 of 28 December.
It has also been valued that trade union organizations must monitor respect for labour law during the campaigns, as well as that business organizations must have enough manpower for the proper development of the same.
Mª Luz Fernández expressed her satisfaction with the work carried out by the Commission, positively assessing the compliance of the majority of entrepreneurs with current legislation, as well as the collaboration of the other components of this Commission so that the migratory labor flow in agricultural campaigns, in the province of Cuenca, is maintained normally.
In the Provincial Commission for Monitoring Migratory Flows, the Government’s sub-delegate in Cuenca has been accompanied by representatives of the Labour and Immigration Unit, Labour Inspection, SEPE Provincial Directorate, Aliens Office, National Police, Civil Guard, Agri-Food Cooperatives CLM, UPA, ASAJA Cuenca, Workers’ Commissions and UGT.
