Ciudad Real.- The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Ciudad Real, María de los Ángeles Herreros, and the Mayor of Bolaños de Calatrava, Miguel Ángel Valverde, have chaired a Local Security Board to finalize the coordination work of the device between Civil Guard and Local Police on the occasion of the Pilgrimage of the Virgen del Monte, which is held from 29 to 30 of this month.
This pilgrimage brings together around 20,000 and 25,000 people each year, among neighbors and residents from outside Bolaños who move to the town, making the Virgen del Monte pilgrimage one of the most important and multitudinous in the province.
Therefore, Herreros and Valverde have analyzed in detail the measures that will be developed and will be part of the device to be developed on May 29,30 and 1 to “safeguard the security of all visitors and neighbors of Bolaños de Calatrava during the pilgrimage” in the words of the mayor, as well as the “coordinated effort in which the Civil Guard works together with the Local Police”, the subdelegate stressed.
Herreros has put it in value; “the success of the surveillance lies in the coordination of the Civil Guard with the Local Police, because it is what gives very good results”
The mayor of the town recalled how last year the pilgrimage was attended by the GRS of the Civil Guard (Reserve and Security Group).
On the other hand, the latest data of Citizen Security of the municipality have been analyzed, as well as the procedure to follow so that Bolaños de Calatrava can join the VioGén system.
They have been present at the Local Security Board, in addition to the deputy delegate and the mayor of the town, the head of the Local Police, and those responsible for the Civil Guard of the Company of Manzanares and the post of Bolaños de Calatrava, as well as the councillors of Citizen Security, José Luis Shoes and Social Services, Victoria Naranjo, and the president of the Brotherhood of the Virgin of the Mount, Sacramento Fernández.
