Guadalajara - The building that houses the Subdelegation of the Government of Spain in the province of Guadalajara, dating from the late forties, will be subject to extensive internal reform to update it and adapt it to current regulations. The tender budget for the works amounts to 3.5 million euros, with a projected duration of 18 months. This week in the Official State Gazette (BOE) the tender of the optional directorate has been published, with an estimated value of 154,000 euros.
The work will mainly consist of the renovation of the water supply, sanitation, electricity, air conditioning and fire protection facilities, in addition to adapting the building in terms of accessibility. Likewise, the repair of floors and interior carpentry will be undertaken, as well as the deficiencies in the structure detected during the analysis of the state of the property. The exterior aspect of the building, which is catalogued and subject to patrimonial protection, will remain unchanged, as will the main interior elements, such as walls and stairs.
The project is currently in the award phase and the project is expected to start in the second half of the year. Previously, work will be undertaken to secure and repair the cornice and pinnacles located on the roof to avoid detachments.
The works will require the temporary transfer of the activity of the Subdelegation. The move is scheduled for this coming summer to a local located at number 18 of the avenue of France.
