Ciudad Real.- The deputy delegate of the Government of Spain in the province of Ciudad Real, María de los Ángeles Herreros, and the mayor of Villarubia de los Ojos, Miguel Ángel Famous, have signed, in the Local Security Board, the operational protocol of the VioGén System.
The protocol has been signed with the main objective of deepening protection measures for victims of gender violence to improve their effectiveness and prevent the risk of new attacks, thanks to the collaboration of the Civil Guard and the local police.
The Deputy Delegate of the Government, María de los Ángeles Herreros, thanked the Mayor for his willingness to join the VioGén system “that advances us and institutionalizes what is already done on a daily basis. Local Police are the eyes and ears of the neighbors and neighbors of the locality. I appreciate the enormous commitment of the Civil Guard and the post commanders to the work they are doing with the various local police to join VioGén.”
This signature allows the Comprehensive Monitoring System in Cases of Gender Violence (VioGén System) to monitor the protection of victims according to the level of risk assigned to them and to carry out preventive work. Currently there are 13 women in Villarrubia victims of gender violence.
The mayor of Villarrubia, for his part, said that “it is an important day in the fight against male violence and I am proud, I would like to thank the Government of Spain, the Civil Guard, for their daily work on this issue, as well as the Local Police, because they are willing to work deepening this collaboration to end this type of violence as soon as possible”
In addition, the commander, chief of operations of the Civil Guard, Luis Arroyo, the captain of the Francisco Javier López Company, the commander of the post, Antonio Yuste, the accidental head of the local police, Pedro Jesús Navarro, as well as the councilors of Civil Protection, Crescencio Juárez, and of Equality, Magdalena Benito, the head of the Citizen Protection service of C-LM, José Luis Villanueva, and the head of the Real City Delegation of Violence, were present on the Security Board.
