Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Francisco Tierraseca, has visited the facilities of the Office of Foreigners in Toledo, an agency dependent on the General Administration of the State, and in which some improvement works have been undertaken.
In particular, work has been carried out to replace windows and renovate the light points, all aimed at improving the conditions of the facilities for greater staff comfort, for a better service to citizens and to achieve more efficient facilities.
During the visit, Tierraseca took the opportunity to greet the staff of the Office and to know the balance of actions of 2022, a year that closed with 15,171 applications for residence permits, of which 4,223 – the majority band – were requested to have a temporary residence permit due to exceptional circumstances.
It is also noteworthy that most of all these processed applications were made for the first time and only 3,270 did so to carry out the renewal of the authorization.
The government delegate has also been informed in this visit, in more detail, of the applications for access to the certificate of registration of temporary community residence. Thus, it has been found that almost 60% of the 606 files processed in this case (344) were submitted by citizens from Romania. This was followed by petitions from citizens of Italy (119), Portugal (51), Bulgaria (17) and France (15).
The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha has thanked the staff of the Office of Foreigners of Toledo for their work and has especially recognized the extra effort they make to speed up the processing at times of greater concentration of applications, such as agricultural campaigns.
