Guadalajara.- The subdelegate of the Government of Spain in the province of Guadalajara, Mercedes Gómez, visited this morning the town of Fuentelencina, where a new phase of the program ‘The Administration near you’ focused on the towns of 300 to 500 inhabitants has begun. In this way, the pilot phase that began last November in Jadraque and reached more than thirty municipalities that have between 500 and 8,000 inhabitants is continued.
Gómez has been accompanied by the mayor of the town, Santos López Tabernero, and has had the opportunity to speak with neighbors who have approached the City Council to participate in the information session organized by the Subdelegation to show the possibilities of accessing public services telematically and thus avoid displacements and waiting for the completion of procedures. The deputy delegate thanked the mayor for his involvement, “because the collaboration of the municipalities to spread it among the population is essential to the success of the program.”
Demographic challenge
In this regard, he recalled that the objective “is to transfer the administration of the 21st century to the least populated municipalities, combating the digital divide and strengthening equal opportunities in access to public services”. Gómez stressed that “the possibility of quick and easy access to services and procedures is key to facing the demographic challenge, helping to establish population and attract new inhabitants”.
In this new phase that has started today, face-to-face sessions will be organized in 15 municipalities of the province that have between 500 and 300 inhabitants, although the neighboring municipalities will also be called to offer their neighbors the possibility of benefiting from the program. Subsequently, it is planned to visit some municipalities with fewer than 300 inhabitants, also summoning nearby towns, in order to cover the entire provincial territory.
The interested parties only have to go on the day set in each of them to receive information about all the digital services that are available to them and obtain the means of electronic identification (electronic certificate and Cl@ve) that give access to them, which will allow them to interact telematically with the Administration from their computer or even their mobile phone.
The electronic certificate and the permanent Cl@ve are the keys to access the Administration’s catalog of digital services, among which the Citizen Folder stands out, an application in which personal data can be consulted (training, working life, etc. ), prior appointments, procedural information, pending notifications or status of pending dossiers, as well as receiving notices and alerts.
Telematics management
They are also the tools that allow interaction with the electronic offices of various bodies (DGT, Social Security, Cadastre, Imserso…) and of the Subdelegation itself, whose electronic services charter contains links to about 90 administrative procedures that can be managed telematically, including requests for various administrative authorizations, aid for emergency situations, services specifically aimed at foreigners and the issuance and homologation of academic degrees.
In the first phase of the program, more than 400 people from the province were interested in knowing these digital services and obtained their electronic certificate. In addition, the staff of the Sub-Delegation also supported them in the processing of proceedings or collected the information needed to process them later, as well as requests from other administrations to transfer them.
