Cuenca.- The subdelegate of the Government of Spain in Cuenca, Mª Luz Fernández, accompanied by the head of the State Roads Unit in Cuenca, Carlos Celaya, has visited the Road Conservation Center CU-3 located at P.K. 088,359 of the N-320, municipal term of La Melgosa.
During the visit, the subdelegate learned of the winter device prepared to act in the face of snowfall and other adverse weather situations that serves the road network of the General Administration of the State in Cuenca, which began on November 1, 2022 and is scheduled to end on April 30, 2023.
This conservation center is one of the five that the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has in operation in the province of Conquense to serve the 976 kilometers of roads of the State. All of them actively participate in the Winter Road Plan 2022/23.
The CU-3 Center serves the national roads N-320, N-420, N-400 and the A-40 motorway with these kilometer limits:
N-400: Toledo to Cuenca P.K. 088,359 to 175,208
N-400A: Toledo to Cuenca. Alcazar del Rey PK 116,606 to 119,947
N-320: Cuenca - L.P, Guadalajara (P.K. 134,000 to 197,000)

During the visit, the subdelegate was accompanied, in addition to the head of the Roads Unit, by the head of conservation and exploitation of the Center, Carlos J. Orbaneja.
The CU-3 State Highway Conservation Center has a staff of 29 workers and has 9 salt–disperser push snow removers. The five conservation centers in the province of Conquense are attended by more than a hundred professionals and have 32 snow-removing machines in total.
