The Delegation of the Government of Spain in Cantabria has observed this noon a minute of silence for the last two confirmed victims of gender violence, a 60-year-old woman allegedly murdered by her spouse and a 25-year-old girl by her partner, both in Malaga.
The head of the Unit for the Coordination of Violence against Women of the Delegation, Diana Mirones, has led this minute of silence at the gates of the headquarters of Calvo Sotelo.
After the confirmation of these two cases in Malaga, there are already 40 women victims of male violence in Spain so far in 2025, with 20 children orphaned. Since January 1, 2003 that there are records, 1,335 women have been killed at the hands of their partners or ex-partners.
