- The tunnels of Astillero (S-10), La Albericia (S-20) and La Morcilla (S-30) will be closed to traffic at night, from 22:00 to 6:00 h, on different nights until November 19.
- In addition, the branch of exit 7 of the S-10 motorway will be cut off from traffic, in the direction of Santander next to the Astillero tunnel, on 12 and 13 November, between 10:00 and 17:00 hours.
- Alternative itineraries have been established, duly signposted to Santander, Torrelavega or Bilbao.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is implementing the Works of modernization of the tunnels of Astillero, La Marga and Maliaño on the S-10 motorway, La Albericia on the S-20 and La Morcilla on the S-30, all in Cantabria. These works have a budget of 4.8 million euros from European funds within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).
In the development of these works, the spreading of the rolling layer will be carried out, prior milling of the existing agglomerate, in the tunnels of Astillero, La Albericia and La Morcilla. Therefore, and in order to guarantee the safety of workers and users, traffic will be affected on the following dates:
- From 22:00 a.m. today, 11 November, until 6:00 a.m. on 12 November, the Astillero tunnel on the S-10 motorway in the direction of Bilbao will be cut off.
- From 22:00 hours on 12 November until 6:00 hours on 13 November, the Astillero tunnel will be cut off from traffic on the S-10 motorway in the direction of Santander.
- From 22:00 hours on 13 November until 6:00 hours on 14 November, the La Albericia tunnel on the S-20 motorway will be cut off in both directions.
- From 22:00 hours on 17 November until 6:00 hours on 18 November, the La Morcilla tunnel will be cut off from traffic on the S-30 motorway in the direction of Bilbao.
- From 22:00 hours on 18 November until 6:00 hours on 19 November, the La Morcilla tunnel will be cut off from traffic on the S-30 motorway in the direction of Santander.
In addition, a roadway crossing will be carried out on the branch of exit 7 of the S-10 motorway, in the direction of Santander, near the mouth of the Astillero tunnel. Therefore, this branch will be cut off from traffic on November 12 and 13, between 10:00 and 17:00 hours.
