- To carry out the work of extending the rolling layer, the Palencia road will be cut in the Somaconcha tunnel between November 3 and 6.
- Se establecerá un itinerario alternativo debidamente señalizado a través de la carretera N-611.
- The circulation will be allowed by a lane of the driveway at night from 20:00 to 7:00 hours.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility continues to implement the modernization works of the tunnels of Gedo, Somaconcha, Lantueno, Las Caldas, Riocorvo and Pedredo, located on the A-67 motorway, in the province of Cantabria. This project has a total budget of 31.3 million euros (VAT included) financed by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).
These days, in the development of these works, the spreading of the rolling layer with asphaltic agglomerate in the Palencia road of the Somaconcha tunnel is going to be carried out.
Therefore, and in order to guarantee the safety of workers and users, from Monday, November 3 at 7:00 hours, the road of the A-67 motorway will be cut in the direction of Palencia, in the stretch between kilometers 157 and 144.
At night, from 20:00 to 7:00 hours, the road will remain open with a cut lane where the machinery of the extended agglomerate will be left. Special transports must take into account this limitation to the passage through the tunnel.
To ensure the fluidity of traffic during this affectation, an alternative itinerary will be enabled, duly signposted, on the N-611 road, leaving at link 157 of the A-67 and returning to the motorway at the Santiurde de Reinosa link.
The impact on this stretch is expected to last until November 6.
