• The government delegate in Cantabria has participated in the event for the 10 years of this regional media
The government delegate in Cantabria, Pedro Casares, has praised the work of Ifomo’s staff to turn this regional media into a “powerful information speaker” in its 10 years of history.
Casares pointed this out this Wednesday in the act of commemoration of the tenth anniversary of Ifomo that has been held at the Calligram Center of Torrelavega and in which other regional and local authorities have also participated.
The representative of the State in the region has expressed to the director of Ifomo, Eduardo Pesquera, that all workers in this medium should feel “proud” because they have contributed to making it “an informative reference” and “a key player in the society of Cantabria”.
He stressed that Ifomo plays an “important” role in “giving voice to the people and rural areas”. “You give the leading role that they deserve to those who had for a long time taken their voice,” he added.
The government delegate also praised Ifomo’s “social commitment” to the news coverage of parties, sporting events and causes of solidarity.
To conclude, Casares has predicted that “these ten years are only a great beginning” for Ifomo, whom he has wished to continue “growing”.
