The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility continues to make progress with the execution of the works of modernization of the tunnels of Gedo, Somaconcha, Lantueno, Las Caldas, Riocorvo and Pedredo, located on the A-67 motorway, in Cantabria. This action has a budget of 31.2 million euros (VAT included), financed by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR).
In this context, a rolling layer with asphaltic agglomerate is being extended on the Santander road of the Gedo and Pedredo tunnels in the municipalities of Arenas de Iguña, Cieza and Los Corrales de Buelna.
Therefore, and in order to guarantee the safety of workers and users, the Santander road of the A-67 will be cut between km 159 and 166, on 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 October, between 7:00 and 20:00 hours.
However, it is allowed to circulate in a lane at night from 20:00 to 7:00 hours, except for special vehicles with a width greater than 4 m, which can circulate on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays between 20.00 h and 21.30 h, due to the limitations imposed by the works that are also being carried out in the viaduct of Marlantes.
To ensure the fluidity of traffic, an alternative route has been established, duly signposted, to travel on the N-611 road, leaving at link 159 of the A-67 motorway and returning to the motorway at the Somahoz link at km 166.
