The Government has authorized this Tuesday in the Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, to allocate 14,826,060 euros to Cantabria to continue promoting the new Vocational Training system.
The total investment approved amounts to 923 million euros. In particular, the Government has agreed to give the green light to three important elements: two autonomous distributions and a State call, which will allow the qualification and requalification of employed and unemployed workers, as well as continue to develop training in line with the needs of the productive sectors.
On the one hand, the concession of 867,284,490 euros has been authorized for training actions of working people, of which more than 696.5 million will go to training offer for unemployed workers and more than 145.9 will be for training aimed at employed workers. From this item, 14,253,280 euros correspond to Cantabria.
The allocation of 31,296,070 euros between the autonomous communities has also been approved, of which 572,780 euros for Cantabria, to implement projects in VET between SMEs and microSMEs, for the ‘skills’ championships, for the mobility of students and people in training, for the stays of teachers and trainers in companies, VET centers, and innovation projects, and for formations and training stays.
In addition, the green light has been given to a broad call of a state nature for microformations of degrees A (short duration formations), in line with the demands of the productive sectors that participate in the different hubs and PERTEs.
