The delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, has held a meeting with the Association Friends of the Museum of the Royal Artillery Factory of La Cavada, represented by its president, Angel Square, in which various issues related to the work of the museum and its heritage have been addressed.
During the meeting, the representatives of the association presented to the delegate the activities carried out by the museum, highlighting the importance of the historical recreation that it organizes annually and that constitutes one of its main attractions. They have also transferred their proposal for Gómez de Diego to be named a partner of honor, a distinction that the entity grants each year to people or institutions relevant to their work.
On the other hand, the association has demonstrated the good level of collaboration it maintains with the Ministry of Defense regarding the conservation and promotion of the military historical heritage. In addition, they have expressed their desire to undertake small improvement interventions in the museum facilities to ensure their conservation and enhancement.
The Government delegate thanked the association for its work in preserving the historical heritage. "The Museum of the Royal Artillery Factory of La Cavada is a reference in the conservation of our history and traditions. From the administrations we must continue to support initiatives such as this, which contribute to spreading our legacy," said Gómez de Diego.
