The delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, visited on Thursday the quartering of the Civil Guard of Reinosa to check the progress of the rehabilitation works, which have already entered their final phase. During the visit he was accompanied by the Colonel Chief of the Civil Guard in Cantabria, Antonio Orantos.
Gómez de Diego highlighted the "importance of this action to improve the working conditions and habitability of agents and their families", as well as its contribution to the energy efficiency and sustainability objectives set by the Government of Spain.
The works, with a budget of more than 2.5 million euros financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, include the improvement of thermal insulation, the installation of new exterior carpentry, more efficient air conditioning systems and the use of renewable energies, such as solar photovoltaics.
During the visit, the delegate checked the pace of execution of the work and valued the performance as "a long-awaited improvement that will have a direct impact on the quality of life of the agents and the attention given to the citizens".
