Adif has listed for more than 500,000 euros the works of renovation of the secondary track, of 715 meters in length, of the station of Corrales de Buelna, of the conventional railway line Palencia-Santander and part of the line C-1 of the Vicinity of Cantabria.
The action includes the removal of the current elements, the healing of the track platform, the placement of a geotextile blanket on the platform, the replacement of sleepers, rails and ballast (stone base of the track), as well as the replacement of the rubber passage between platforms of the station and the restitution of all the security elements.
This action, included in the Proximity Plan of Cantabria, is part of the actions of maintenance and operation of the railway lines, and will provide the station with more reliable facilities.
Adif has already carried out, and has in place, various actions aimed at improving the railway infrastructure of Cantabria (duplication works, integral renovations of track, improvements of signalling and electrification, suppression of level crossings, etc. ), with the aim of improving both the performance of the Neighbourhoods network and the connections with Palencia and Madrid.
