The delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, has made an institutional visit to the municipalities of Aguayo and Pesquera, where she has been received by their respective mayors, Eduardo Gutiérrez and Julián Gutiérrez, with the aim of knowing first-hand the situation and needs of both localities.
In Aguayo, the delegate has addressed various issues related to local development and infrastructure improvement, including initiatives aimed at the optimization of public spaces, the modernization of services and the promotion of recreational activities for the community. Among the outstanding performances are the installation of new children’s play areas, the improvement of sports facilities, the renovation of lighting with efficient technology and the adaptation of routes for hikers.
During his visit to Pesquera, he held a meeting with the mayor and met some ongoing projects that seek to improve the well-being of the population and strengthen public services.
He has also highlighted the importance of the International Artisan Cheese Fair, an event of reference in the sector that brings together about 5,000 visitors each year and that in 2025 will celebrate its XXX edition, consolidating itself as one of the most emblematic events of the regional gastronomic calendar.
This working day is part of the institutional commitment to maintain a permanent dialogue with the municipalities and meet the needs of the different municipalities of Cantabria.
