The Government delegate in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, and the Mayor of Suances, Andrés Ruiz Moya, participated this Thursday in an information day of the program 'The Administration Near You', held at the headquarters of the Municipal Library. During the month of December, these days managed to gather 229 attendees, placing Cantabria as the autonomous community with the greatest scope of this initiative.
In his speech, Gómez de Diego thanked the staff of the Government Delegation for the effort they are making to bring the public administration closer to the citizens and facilitate administrative processing through the use of the electronic office. “This program is breaking down barriers and bringing administrative management closer to neighbors, especially in rural municipalities and now also in larger towns,” he said.
Promoted by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, the program allows interested people to obtain their Cl@ve and Digital Certificate, essential tools to carry out telematic procedures. In addition, the days include practical explanations on how to access digital services such as the Electronic Headquarters, the Citizen Folder, the DGT and Social Security.
Since its launch in 2022, 'La Administración Cerca de Ti' has benefited more than 1,200 people in Cantabria, focusing initially on the smallest municipalities in the region. In this new phase, the programme extends its scope to specific groups and localities with more than 8,000 inhabitants, reinforcing its commitment to accessibility and equal opportunities in access to public services.
Gómez de Diego stressed that this initiative aims to ensure that citizens can carry out administrative procedures without having to travel from their localities, thus contributing to territorial cohesion and a closer and more efficient administration.
