The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is implementing the works of the A-67 motorway, in the Sierrapando-Barreda continuity branch, and improving the links of Sierrapando, Barreda and Torrelavega, in Cantabria.
Within the framework of this work, and to guarantee the safety of workers and users, traffic will be affected from this night when a total cut of the right road (direction Santander) will be made between km 182,600 and 187, from 21:00 hours of today Tuesday until 6:00 hours of tomorrow Wednesday 16; and from 21:00 hours of tomorrow Wednesday until 6:00 hours of Thursday 17 October.
To ensure the fluidity of traffic during such affectations, the following alternative itinerary will be enabled, duly signposted:
- Alternative itinerary for traffic coming from Oviedo on the A-8:
The traffic coming from Oviedo must take Exit 231 – Torrelavega and follow the indications of provisional detour on the N-611 to the link of Polanco (No. 187 of the A-67).
- Alternative itinerary for traffic coming from Bilbao/Palencia on the A-8:
The traffic coming from Bilbao and Palencia must take Exit 231 – Torrelavega and follow the provisional detour signs on the N-611 to the Polanco link (No. 187 of the A-67).
For the closure of the exit 230 it is required, being inside a tunnel and guaranteeing the safety of the circulation, to make a right lane cut before the mouth of the Torrelavega tunnel to channel the traffic of Bilbao through the left lane and that of Palencia through the right. In this way, the deceleration rail of the outlet 230 itself can be closed with a smooth transition.
- Alternative itinerary for traffic coming from Torrelavega:
The traffic coming from Torrelavega will have cut off its access to the motorway, then you will have to take the next exit on the roundabout with indications of provisional diversion by N-611.
Job Features
During these affectations, the works of execution of the provisional diversion of the right road of the A-67 (direction Santander) will be carried out through a provisional vial and a definitive one of the future link of Barreda.
This detour is necessary for the execution of a part of Barreda's future link.
