The delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, informed this morning that the 739 electoral tables distributed in 358 places in Cantabria have been constituted without any incident, thus ensuring the normal development of the electoral day.
This democratic process involves the election in our country of 61 MEPs and MEPs out of a total of 720 members who make up the European Parliament, representing the 27 States of the European Union.
The delegate of the Government has emphasized the importance of citizen participation, encouraging the Cantabrians to exercise their right to vote and recalling that the decisions of the European Parliament have a significant impact on national policies and on the daily lives of citizens.
In Cantabria, the electoral census is composed of 514,107 voters, served by 2,217 table members.
Gómez de Diego has expressed his gratitude to the staff of the Central Administration, the State security forces and forces, the Local Police, and all the people who collaborate so that the day takes place in total normality.
The first data of participation will be known from 2 p.m. and will be updated again at 6 p.m. The count will end at 8 p.m., once the polling stations are closed, with the final results expected from 11 p.m., after the closure of the polling stations in the other countries of the European Union.
