The delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, visited today the headquarters of the Civil Guard in Cabezón de la Sal, where she held a meeting with the ROCA team and checked the execution status of the improvement works that are being carried out in the facilities.
Gómez de Diego was accompanied during the visit by the chief colonel of the Civil Guard of Cantabria, Antonio Orantos.
In the meeting with the ROCA team, the Government delegate highlighted the “important work” they carry out “ensuring the well-being of the most vulnerable people in rural environments”. The unit based in the Cabezón de la Sal quartering covers the entire western area of the region.
“The creation of this specialized unit demonstrates the commitment of the Government and the Civil Guard to address the specific needs of rural communities,” said Gómez de Diego.
The delegate has highlighted the “practically personalized attention” they give to people living in rural areas of Cantabria and has valued, in addition to their involvement, “the excellent collaboration with social, health and other services to ensure a comprehensive follow-up”.
On the other hand, the Government delegate has also checked the status of implementation of the improvement works that are being carried out at the headquarters of the Civil Guard of Cabezón de la Sal. The works, which have a budget of 620.00 euros, are financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), thanks to the agreement between the ministries of the Interior and Ecological Transition.
With the expectation of ending in September, the works aim to improve the energy efficiency of the facilities, reducing by 30% the consumption of primary energy through the use of renewable energies and the improvement of the thermal envelope.
