Adif advances in the Proximity Plan of Cantabria with an investment of 6.6 million euros in the adaptation and reinforcement of a slope of 200 m between the neighborhoods of Caranceja and Golbardo, in the municipality of Reocín. The action will reinforce the reliability of the metric width infrastructure of the C-2 line that runs between Santander and Cabezón de la Sal.
In the slope, consolidation works will be carried out and will be protected against landslides in an area where the road runs between the rocky wall and the Saja River. To this end, a combination of systems will be deployed that will improve the overall stability of the slope, such as high-strength galvanized steel cable networks and anchors up to 12 m in length, with dynamic retention barriers and self-cleaning.
