The delegate of the Government, Eugenia Gómez de Diego, has today expressed the “pride” for Cantabria of having a company like ACORN, of which she has highlighted its pioneering character, its commitment to innovation, its international recognition and its ability to attract and retain young talent.
“Twenty-five years ago, this leading company was established, which has continued to grow and innovate, and which has proved capable of developing products and providing services at the highest technological level, contributing to increasing the competitiveness of Cantabria and the strategic and technological autonomy of Spain,” he said.
Gómez de Diego demonstrated this during the event commemorating the company’s 25 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, especially in the areas of Space and Defense, where ACORN has established a model of innovation and cutting-edge technological development.
With a presence in 20 countries, the delegate has stressed the “high experience in international projects” of ACORand has shown her confidence in the business fabric of Cantabria, “innovative, strong and with the ability to attract”.
In his speech, Gómez de Diego recalled his visit to the company a year ago - during her time as a counselor in the regional government, on the occasion of her participation in the INVESTIGO program - and knew first-hand “the level, complexity, professionalism, solvency and also her entrepreneurial spirit”.
“We have a great talent in our land, and CHORD is a sample of that productive fabric that provides great added value and carries out international, innovative and top-notch projects,” he said.
Finally, in addition to congratulating the company and wishing it success in the future, the delegate has reiterated the commitment of the Government of Spain to promote the change of productive model, innovation and digital transformation.
