Adif has put to tender the execution of the works of the construction projects of suppression of the steps at the level of Reocín and Piélagos, of the line of metric width Santander-Llanes, with a joint estimated value of 4.22 million euros.
In both cases, the execution period is 14 months and the offers for these open procedures, in which the economic offer is weighted more than the technical one, can be presented until 11 a.m. on May 17, according to the respective announcements published on Tuesday in the Official State Gazette.
The solution tendered for the suppression of the passage at the Reocín level will be the construction of a pedestrian walkway on the track and the execution of a new road north of the railway line, which connects two roads. The estimated value of the contract amounts to 2.55 million euros.
In Piélagos, the passage at the level of the town of Boo will be eliminated, for which a new road will be executed that will connect two urbanized areas, a pedestrian walkway on the road, and a connecting path between the road that runs parallel to the road and the one that crosses the Arroyo del Cuco. The estimated value of the contract is 1.67 million euros.
The opening of the technical offer will take place on May 21 and the economic one on June 27, for the two tenders.
The action, integrated into the Proximity Plan of Cantabria and completed with the elimination of four steps at the level in Riotuerto, aims to increase the reliability and safety conditions of transport infrastructures for pedestrians and railway and road traffic.
The works include the adaptation of safety facilities and the replacement of railway communications and other services, as well as the installation of a new enclosure once the steps have been eliminated.
