The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has awarded a contract in the amount of 862,526 euros (VAT included) for the evaluation of road safety of more than 12,400 km of the State Road Network, corresponding to high-capacity roads and other main roads in service.
Specifically, road safety will be analyzed in 11,684 km of highways and highways, 53 km of multicarril roads and 665 km of conventional roads, the sections included in the study of these last two types of roads belonging to the RCE.
The purpose of the contract is to provide the General Directorate of Roads with the services to be able to develop the Road Safety Assessment in the CER.
Also included are those roads and road infrastructure projects of the CER which are made with European Union funding and which are outside urban areas and which do not have access to neighbouring properties, except those which are not open to the general circulation of motor vehicles.
The contract has been divided into three lots comprising the following autonomous communities:
•Lot 1: Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León, La Rioja and Navarra.
•Lot 2: Madrid, Aragon, Catalonia, Valencian Community and Murcia.
•Lot 3: Castile-La Mancha, Extremadura and Andalusia
