284 people will be examined tomorrow Saturday at the University of Cantabria (UC) in the exam called by the Ministry of Health to access one of the 11,607 places offered for Specialized Health Training in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and degrees in the field of Psychology, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
This is a record offer of the number of places offered in Specialized Health Training. In total, the number of places has been increased by 5% compared to last year (436 more places).
In total, in Spain there will be 30,066 applicants who have been admitted to take the exam held in localities throughout the country. In the case of Cantabria, the test will be held from 4 p.m. at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Sciences.
7% (812) of the places are reserved for people with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33% (812 places in total). Another 551 places are intended for the quota of non-EU citizens.
Specifically, in the medical degree the offer is 8,772 places (increase of 3%), of which 614 places are reserved for people with disabilities. The specialty with the greatest offer is Family and Community Medicine with 2,492 places. These places are staffed by 13,990 doctors.
The offer of the Nursing degree amounts to 2,108 places, 7% more than in the previous call, of which 148 are reserved for people with disabilities. The specialty of Nursing with the greatest offer of places is Family and Community Nursing with 891 places. The number of Nursing applicants is 9,010.
In the rest of the degrees the offer is 340 places in Pharmacy and the number of candidates 1,559, 247 places offered for the degrees in the field of Psychology and 3,850 candidates, 65 places offered in Biology and 1,071 candidates, 48 places in Physics and 305 candidates and 27 places in Chemistry to which 279 candidates concur.
Test development
The entrance exams to the ESF, which will consist of 200 questions plus 10 booking questions, will start from 16:00 hours (15:00 hours in the Canary Islands) and the applicants will be incorporated into the classrooms from 15:00 hours (14:00 hours in the Canary Islands).
The tests are carried out in 28 examination locations, at least one per autonomous community, and in 622 examination tables, two of them located in the Ministry of Health.
More than 2,000 people will collaborate in the good development of these committees, serving as center delegates, auditors and members of the exam tables or as members of the seven qualifying committees.
