The Cantabrian Hydrographic Confederation has begun work on the conservation and maintenance of waterways in the Margin stream, in the municipality of Laredo.
The performances have an approximate budget of 25.858 € and consist of
in the removal of vegetation and sediments in the waterway with machinery, in order to recover the drainage capacity. The area of the performances does not present riverside vegetation since it is channeled by concrete blocks, there is riverside vegetation in the upper zone of the slope that will proceed to its conservation.
These works are carried out within the framework of the agreement signed with the City of Laredo for the development of actions of conservation and maintenance of channels in the municipal term, in which an investment of 160,000 € is contemplated during the next 4 years.
