The Cantabrian Hydrographic Confederation has begun work on conservation and maintenance of waterways in the Mantilla River, the Pelegrín Stream (tributary of the Mantilla River) and the Maderuca Stream in the municipality of Laredo.
Arroyo Pelegrín
The actions consist of the adaptation of the riverside vegetation and the dredging of sediments from the interior of the canal in order to recover its drainage capacity. Prior to the beginning of these tasks, the rescue of fish fauna through electric fishing has been carried out. These tasks have an approximate budget of 26,000 euros.
Mantilla River
The works consist of the adaptation of the riverside vegetation and the dredging of sediments from the interior of the riverbed in order to recover its drainage capacity. Prior to the beginning of these tasks, the rescue of fish fauna through electric fishing has been carried out. These actions have an approximate budget of 23.000 euros.
Arroyo de la Maderuca
The work aims to adapt the riverside vegetation and the dredging of sediments from the interior of the canal in order to recover its drainage capacity. Prior to the start of these tasks, the rescue of fish fauna through electric fishing has been carried out. Actions that have an approximate budget of 13,000 euros.
These works are carried out within the framework of the agreement signed with the City of Laredo for the development of actions of conservation and maintenance of channels in the municipal term, in which an investment of 160,000 euros is contemplated during the next four years.
