The Government delegate in Cantabria, Ainoa Quiñones, has encouraged young people from the Autonomous Community who have reached the age of 18 or have reached the age of 18 in this year 2023 to apply for the Young Cultural Bonus, for which they can register on the web http://www.bonoculturajoven.gob.es until the next 30 September.
Quiñones visited this Monday the Gil Bookstore of the Plaza Pombo in Santander, which is one of the 25 establishments and companies adhered in Cantabria to this program, and which in the whole of Spain exceed the 3,000 establishments adhered.
“With this Young Cultural Bonus, young people will get 400 euros and will have a whole year to make use of that money and that they can allocate to the products, services and cultural activities included in the program,” said the representative of the Government of Spain in the Autonomous Community.
The Government delegate has detailed that a total of 2,854 young people from Cantabria have applied for the Young Cultural Bonus in the second edition of this program promoted by the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Culture and Sport, which represents 48.7% of the total of 5,853 potential beneficiaries in the Autonomous Community.
He pointed out that, since June 13, people born in 2005 can apply for the 400 euros intended for the acquisition and enjoyment of products, services and cultural activities. To do this, young people who have reached or will reach the age of 18 in 2023 must register and carry out the application procedure on the website http://www.bonoculturajoven.gob.es before September 30th.
The delegate of the Government recalled that, in 2022 in the first edition of the program of the Young Cultural Bonus, 3,332 applications were received, which meant an allocation of 400 euros per beneficiary. 59.5% of the young potential beneficiaries throughout Cantabria requested it.
STEPS TO ENROLL
It will be essential that, previously, the interested parties obtain one of these three forms of digital identification: Cl@ve, with basic registration (which can be requested and obtained by video call), Cl@ve, with advanced registration (face-to-face and for those who have not yet reached the age of 18) or the Digital Certificate.
Young people interested in applying for the Young Cultural Voucher can carry out the procedure personally or through the representation of an adult, for which it is necessary to attach the downloadable representation form on the website, correctly signed by beneficiary and representative. In these cases, the family book is not a document accrediting the representation.
The program is entitled to young people of 18 years of Spanish nationality, as well as those foreigners who have legal residence in Spain, asylum seekers, temporary displaced persons and foreign persons ex tuteladas in the process of obtaining the residence permit.
HOW TO USE THE YOUTH CULTURAL BONUS
From the granting of the aid, the beneficiaries have one year to use the 400 euros in cultural products or services in the affiliated establishments, which exceed 3,000 throughout Spain.
The Young Cultural Voucher works with a prepaid card that beneficiaries can have in virtual format on their mobile device or in physical format that they will receive at their home or address indicated in the application. With this card you can enjoy cultural experiences and products, which are divided into three sections to favor diversification between the different cultural sectors, with the following distribution:
- 100 euros for physical products, for example, books, press or discs.
- 100 euros for digital products, such as digital press, podcast, online video games and virtual platforms.
- 200 euros for live arts: theater, opera, cinema, dance, museums or bullfighting shows.
