The 377 polling places in the 102 municipalities of Cantabria are open this morning, after having constituted the 777 polling stations that the Autonomous Community has in this election day.
The government delegate in Cantabria, Ainoa Quiñones, has detailed this in a hearing before the media in which she has indicated that there have been no incidents in the opening of the electoral colleges and also in the constitution of the 777 tables.
“In Cantabria, it should be noted that there has been no impact on the constitution of the electoral tables and the process has been carried out with total normality,” said the delegate, who has detailed that at 8.45 hours 77% of the tables were already constituted and at 9.10 hours the last one was constituted, which has been one of those in the Cisneros de Santander school.
“There has been no incident, not even something curious or anecdotal,” he assured, and he has praised the “perfect functioning” that the device of this General Elections that mobilizes almost 9,000 people is having in the Autonomous Community.
Quiñones has thanked the work that will be carried out throughout the day this Sunday that the 2,331 members of the tables, the 449 representatives of the Administration and the 27 people of support personnel, the team of 74 people who work today in the Government Delegation, as well as the more than 1,200 personnel of the State Security Forces and Bodies, the National Police and the Civil Guard, and the local police of Cantabria.
He recalled that a total of 507,819 Cantabrians are called to vote in the General Elections on July 23, of which 19,241 are young people who will vote for the first time in a general election. In these elections, five deputies and three senators are elected in Cantabria.
The delegate of the Government has hoped that the day will pass with total normality and that the Cantabrians and the Cantabrians will be able to vote with freedom and security.
