Renfe re-schedules the Playeros Trains to facilitate the access of the Castilians and Leoneses to the beaches of Santander, Gijón and San Sebastián during the months of July and August.
The Valladolid–Santander Playero Train allows passengers from Valladolid and Palencia to travel to the Cantabrian coast and will be available every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 1 July to 27 August.
The departure from the station of Valladolid is at 7.45 h. It passes through Palencia at 8.22 am and arrives in Santander at 11.40 am. The return journey begins in Santander at 8.15 p.m., passes through Palencia at 11.23 p.m. and ends in Valladolid at 11.59 p.m.
This train also stops at the stations of Venta de Baños, Frómista, Osorno, Herrera de Pisuerga, Alar del Rey, Aguilar de Campoo, Mataporquera, Reinosa and Torrelavega.
During both months this Playero Train will be affected by works in the infrastructure planned by Adif, so Renfe has planned an alternative transport system by road between Torrelavega and Santander so that the service is not interrupted.
Tickets can be purchased at stations, travel agencies, vending machines, post offices, on the telephone 912 320 320 and on www.renfe.com.
