The General Administration of the State and the Government of Cantabria have promoted an agreement to facilitate the realization of a rotation of the Resident Internal Doctors (MIR) of Preventive Medicine and Public Health by the medical services of External Health, integrated in the Government Delegation in Cantabria.
The objective of this rotation is to complement the training program in the specialty, which has grown in relevance in recent years. This alliance will allow future specialists to know how the control and monitoring of sanitary hygiene conditions is carried out in the international traffic of goods and people; as well as to deepen the activities carried out in the International Vaccination Center.
The General Administration of the State, through the Government Delegation in Cantabria, is committed to making the organization, including its facilities and human resources, available for training.
For its part, the Ministry of Health of the Government of Cantabria will pay the resident doctor the corresponding salary remuneration for the duration of the training period, which will be for a minimum period of 2 weeks and a maximum of 3 months.
Finally, the period of validity of the agreement that facilitates this rotation will be four years, with the possibility of an express extension, before the expiration of the term, for four more years. The total duration of the agreement, including the extension, shall in no case exceed eight years.
