The Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, has presented today at the CEIP Siete Palmas the prize to the winner for Gran Canaria of this contest organized every year by the Government Delegation on the occasion of the 25N, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
“From the Delegation of the Government in the Canary Islands we wanted to approach the educational centers again to raise awareness about gender violence and promote equality, respect and tolerance from the earliest ages, something essential to build a fairer society,” says Anselmo Pestana.
“This act is always particularly moving, as it allows us to observe how the new generations continue to teach us important lessons to adults about the perspective we must assume regarding equality between men and women,” he said.
